Ready to take the first step to elevating your life and connecting to a therapist at Elevation Counseling? Our goal is to really listen to your needs so you feel comfortable, safe and understood. It is normal to have questions about this process, so please don’t hesitate to contact us.
The most important step, is deciding that you are ready for counseling. If you are here, you have already come so far! We are thrilled that you are considering being one of our valued clients!
Step 1: Find Your Therapist
Use our Therapist Search Tool to find the best fit counselor for your needs. Search by specialty (child therapy, adult therapy, couples therapy, etc.) and then by specific issues (anxiety, depression, trauma, etc.). You may choose as many issues as you’d like. A list of therapists who specialize in your specific needs appear below your search. You may click on those therapists’ photos to get to their individual bios. All our therapists are also listed below the search tool results.
Step 2: Request an Appointment
Once you’ve gotten to know which therapists will work best for you, fill out our confidential appointment request form below or by clicking the button. Our intake coordinator will then contact you to let you know which therapists have openings and when we can get you scheduled. You can also call our office at 505-888-1686 to discuss your options, and they will be able to help you.
After we schedule your first appointment, please fill out the First Session Intake Paperwork at least 48 hours prior to first scheduled appointment.
If at any time you feel that you might prefer a different therapist that the one you started with, please let us know! Client/therapist fit is extremely important and we will be happy to find another therapist in our group to work with you. We promise counselors don’t take it personally if you request a change! It is a critical part of the therapeutic process.
Appointments cancelled by clients with less than 24-hours notice will be charged $55.00. Insurance does not cover this fee. We will charge the credit card on file or send an invoice.
If you no show or late cancel your 1st appointment we will place you back on the wait list. If you no show or late cancel multiple times you will be placed on a list for spots that become available due to client cancellation.
We accept the following insurances: Centennial Care (all plans), Medicaid, BCBS, Magellan, Presbyterian, Molina, Western Sky, United Health Care, Tricare, GEHA, UMR, ChampVA, Christus Health, New Mexico Health Connections, True Health New Mexico
Private / Out of Pocket: Our rates typically range from $100-$150 depending on the service provided.
