“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, ‘Soften the orange a bit on the right-hand corner,’ I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds,” -Carl Rogers

In the course of my work, I am passionate and intentional in learning each client’s individual story – their experiences, their ways of being, and their unique understanding of the world and their interactions within it. By doing so, I work to assist clients in recognizing and integrating their own inherent strengths and skills, so they are better equipped to navigate their current circumstances, difficulties, and obstacles in order to achieve their immediate and long-term goals.

I work with children and adolescents, adult individuals, along with couples and families, and specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, stress, grief/loss, trauma/PTSD, behavioral disruptions, and relationship difficulties. Also, I have extensive experience working with first responders and military personnel, and their families, in the treatment of their unique stressors and exposures to traumatic events.

I am trained and skilled in the use of Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and individuals (EFT and EFiT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, stress management, and mindfulness techniques. I also provide faith-based interventions upon request.
