“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.” Khalil Gibran
Hello! I was born in Pueblo, CO and at 18yo, I moved to Sioux City, IA to attend Morningside College. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology and later moved back to Colorado. I attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins and in 2001, I received my Master of Education in Counseling and Career Development, with an emphasis in Community Counseling. In 2009, I moved to Taos, NM where I resided until I moved to Albuquerque in 2013. I live with my wife, our english bulldog Calypso (Poopers) and our four cats. Yes, four! Jake, Brodie, Rain and Tig.
I am a licensed clinical mental health therapist. I have been providing therapy to adolescents, families, adults and older persons, for almost 3 decades. I have developed programs, provided crisis mediation, and investigated abuse against individuals and facilities. I have worked with persons of all ages, including persons with disabilities, who have suffered various types of trauma and hardships. I have provided inpatient psychiatric care and outpatient therapeutic services.
I have a broad range of knowledge and therapeutic skills. I will work with you wherever you are on your journey. I provide a safe place to cope with issues and discover insights into yourself. Hopefully along the way, we can lighten the load with laughter! There are no issues and no person’s, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, or sexuality, that I will not work with. If something were to arise out of my scope of practice, I will assist you in any way, to continue moving forward.
