Deborah Moore, MA, LPCC
I have been a licensed professional clinical counselor in the state of New Mexico since 2010. As a Christian-based counselor, I view others in a holistic manner taking into account the social, physical and spiritual factors as well as the emotional and psychological factors of what it means to be a healthy, joy-filled individual. My focus in counseling is to help my clients to view their symptoms within the context of their “wholeness” as a human being, deepening their understanding of their true identity as persons of value and strength as I believe that this greatly contributes to a more rapid recovery from the impact of negative life experiences.
In supporting my clients, I use various treatment modalities including CBT; Mindfulness; DBT exercises; Solution Focused Brief Therapy; Family Systems Therapy, Attachment Theory, IHP and LI (Lifespan Integration Therapy which relies on the innate ability of the mind-body to heal itself).
I am a certified Prepare & Enrich facilitator. Prepare & Enrich is a leading relationship inventory and program. The goal of the program is to help premarital couples prepare for marriage (PREPARE) and married couples enrich their marriage (ENRICH) by increasing their awareness of relationship strengths and growth areas and providing them with skills to improve their relationship.
I love working with teens to adults in individual, couples and family counseling. My experience as a therapist includes working with clients challenged with the adverse effects of depression, anxiety, anger, grief, family conflict and trauma.
