Amber Blacknall, APRN-CNP, PMHNP
Dr. Amber Blacknall, APRN-CNP, PMHNP is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health care. She began her path in mental health by earning her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Arizona in 2012. She then took the leap into the medical field as a registered nurse after earning her A.D.N in 2018 followed by her B.S.N from the University of New Mexico in 2019.
As an RN she worked in Emergency Medicine, Medical-Surgical and Inpatient Psychiatry. In 2022 she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from New Mexico State University.
Most of her nursing career has been spent at the VA Medical Center taking care of Veterans and Active Duty Military. This is where she gained her passion for helping those suffering from trauma-related issues. In order to better serve those suffering from trauma, she is currently completing a certification to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist
